Ingredients:

  • Whole grain bread
  • 1 ripe avocado (for the guacamole)
  • 1 egg
  • Fresh strawberries
  • 1 sweet orange

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Guacamole:
  • Cut the avocado in half, remove the pit, and scoop out the flesh with a spoon.
  • In a bowl, mash the avocado with a fork until it forms a smooth puree.
  • Season with a pinch of salt and, if desired, a squeeze of lemon juice for extra flavor. You can also add some chopped onion or fresh cilantro if you like.
  1. Boil the Egg:
  • Fill a saucepan with enough water to cover the egg and bring it to a boil.
  • Once the water is boiling, add the egg and cook for 10-12 minutes to make a hard-boiled egg.
  • After boiling, place the egg in a bowl of cold water to stop the cooking process. Once cool enough to handle, peel and slice it.

  • Toast the whole grain bread slices until golden and crispy.
  1. Assemble the Plate:
  • Spread a generous layer of guacamole on each slice of toasted bread.
  • Top with the sliced boiled egg.
  • You can add a touch of salt and pepper if you like.
  1. Prepare the Fruit:
  • Wash the strawberries and slice them in halves or quarters.
  • Peel the orange and cut it into segments.
  1. Serve:
  • Serve the whole grain toast with guacamole and egg alongside the strawberries and orange segments.
